Aftercare (Oral Piercing)
For oral piercings, proper hygiene is essential.
Outside of the piercing:
• Clean the outside of the lip with H2Ocean sterile saline spray
Inside the mouth:
• Rinse with H2Ocean mouth rinse after eating, drinking, or smoking
• An antiseptic mouthwash may also be used
General care:
• Wash hands before touching the piercing
• Do not play with or twist the jewelry
Additional precautions:
• No bodily fluids for at least one month
• No alcohol consumption
• Avoid beer or yeasty drinks for at least 2 weeks
• Avoid spicy or irritating foods during early healing
• Avoid excessive pressure on the lip
