High Nostril Placement & Symmetry

A high nostril piercing is placed higher on the nasal bridge area above a traditional nostril piercing.

Because of its elevated position:

High nostrils are commonly done as a symmetrical pair. Having both marked and pierced during the same appointment allows for balanced placement and matched needle angles.

If you are unsure about placement height, stacking with an existing nostril, or visual alignment, discuss your goals with your piercer before marking. We encourage questions and professional guidance to ensure optimal healing and aesthetics.

 

High Nostril Jewelry Options

High nostrils are pierced with flat-back labret jewelry for stability during healing.

At Z-Edge, there is no “starter” jewelry. All jewelry we carry is high-quality body jewelry designed to be worn long term.

We offer:

All jewelry is nickel-free.
 No stainless steel.
 No externally threaded jewelry.

Hinge rings are not recommended as initial jewelry for high nostrils due to placement height and healing considerations.

Size & Gauge

We always pierce with longer jewelry initially to accommodate swelling and reduce pressure during healing.


High Nostril Piercing Pricing

The high nostril piercing fee is $40.

Starting jewelry begins at $35 for an implant-grade titanium micro labret with a CZ stone.

Upgraded jewelry options such as 14k gold, natural stones, lab-created gemstones, and genuine diamonds are available at additional cost.


Downsizing

We recommend returning for downsizing at approximately 6–8 weeks, once swelling and tenderness have resolved.

Just because a piercing feels healed does not mean it should be left without jewelry for extended periods. High nostrils can shrink quickly.
